2022 Ohio State University
Ohio State has officially released their 2023 football schedule. They will play six home games alongside six road games next season. It was announced in April they will play host to Youngstown State University in the 2023 season. This marks the first time since 2013 that the Buckeyes have played a non-FBS opponent.
For the second time in three years, the Buckeyes will begin the season with a Thursday Night Big Ten matchup on the road, as they take on Indiana to open the season on September 2nd.
From their, the Buckeyes will play three non conference games, with only one being on the road. They will start their non-conference schedule in Week 2 of the season against Youngstown State before facing Western Kentucky in Week 3, with both games taking place at The Horseshoe. In Week 4, they'll take on the Fighting Irish in South Bend on Sept. 23rd before taking their bye week in Week 5 during the last week of September.
Ohio State will take on three Big Ten West teams next season in matchups against Purdue on Oct. 14th in West Lafayette (Week 7), followed by Wisconsin on the road on October 28th (Week 9), and at home against Minnesota on November 18th (Week 12).
The matchup between Penn State and Ohio State has been moved off of Halloween weekend for the first time since 2019 and will be played October 21st from Columbus (Week 8). As always the Buckeyes will finish out the season against Michigan on the final Saturday of November (Week 13), with the 2023 version of the game set to be played at The Big House
