Lutheran East Falcons fly by the Emmanuel Christian Rams in an electric 81-67 victory



Akron, OH - The Lutheran East Falcons took on the Emmanuel Christian Rams at St. Vincent St. Mary in game 2 of the East vs West Classic.


Emmanuel Christian started the game off hot, winning the tip and getting to work scoring the game's first 4 points and keeping their offense rolling all quarter putting up 17 points.


The first quarter got off to a slow start for Lutheran East, but things quickly got hot for them and they were able to close the Rams lead down to two at 17-15 to end the first.


Entering the second, both teams were looking to stay hot on offense, which is exactly what happened.



Emmanuel Christian was sinking 3 pointers like they were nothing and rolling through the defense putting up 14 in the 2nd.


Lutheran East wasn't slowing down either putting up their own 3 pointers and scoring at will, putting up 23 points and taking the lead 38-31 to end the first half.


Entering the 2nd half the Rams were looking to close the deficit so they went to work on offense putting up 14 points in the third quarter.


Unfortunately for them their defense struggled as the Falcons put up 18 points and extended their lead to 11 points at 56-45 to close the third.



The Rams put up a good effort in the fourth trying to play catch up but the Falcons offense was too much to overcome.


Emmanuel Christian wasn't able to pull of the comeback but their offense was still able to put up 22 in the 4th.


Lutheran East kept their offense rolling through the Emmanuel Christian defense putting up 24 points and taking the game 81-67.


Cody Head was impressive leading all scorers with 41 points for the Falcons while T.J. Crumble chipped in 16.
