The Lake County Captains took on the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Wednesday night for the Midwest League Title.

The game started off as a pitching duel.

In fact, through the first four innings both teams were held scoreless.

However, after the fourth inning, the two teams combined to score 13 runs. The Captains scored nine of those runs to claim a 9-4 victory and the Midwest League Title.

The Timber Rattlers got on the scoreboboard first in the top of the fifth inning as they scored an unearned run.

However, just like the previous night, Jonah Advincula brought the Captains back as he hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game at 1-1.

Certainly, Advincula's home run gave the Captains momentum as they scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 6-1 lead.

First, Wuilfredo Antunez broke the tie with a double which scored Angel Genao. Then, the Captains scored their second run of the inning on double by Jake Fox.

The Captains added three more runs in the sixth inning on a 3-run home run by Ralphy Velazquez.

The Captains then answered in the bottom of the eighth when Jake Fox hit a solo home run to make the score, 7-4. Then Travis Bazzana drove in a run on a single, and Genao also singled to drive in the final run of the game to make the final score 9-4.

The Captains then held the Timber Rattlers scoreless in the ninth to win the Midwest League Title.
