Beloit, OH- The West Branch Warriors continued their spectacular start to the season with a 66-2 victory at home over the Alliance Aviators. The Warriors (4-0) dressed 15 for varsity tonight with no JV game beforehand, with many of them not only getting playing time at the varsity level but also getting into the score books.
The Aviators (0-4) lone points came on a Savvy Pleasant jumper in the lane in the first frame.
Throughout the evening, West Branch Head Coach Walt DeShields opted for hockey style line changes, mass substituting 5 in and 5 out at most stoppages of play to keep his starters fresh and to give some of his younger and junior varsity players a good amount of run during a varsity contest.
The Warriors were led in scoring on the night by Senior Guard Mati Hawk who tallied 10 in the victory. Ellie Tucker added 7, all in the first quarter. Audrey Eaton chipped in 7 as well, as did Cailyn Fritz. Starters Hallie Vie Burton added 6 while Tallie Muniz contributed 5 in the winning effort.
