STREETSBORO, OH- Thursday night was senior night for the Streetsboro Lady Rockets as they hosted the Coventry Comets. The Rockets came in riding a four game winning streak while the Comets were looking to build off of their Tuesday win over Bedford.

The Comets got off to a quick start as Aunna Coteat got it started with a three to open the game. After a Rockets bucket by Kaleigh Lilly, Danica Baird scored for Coventry to put them up 5-2 early. Shortly after coach Singer would send in the rest of his normal starting lineup and the Rockets would score the final eight points of the quarter giving them a 10-5 lead after one.

Naomi Benson scored the first three points of the second quarter for the Rockets making it an 11-0 run extending from the first quarter. Coteat was able to score for the Comets and stop the run as they trailed 13-7. Streetsboro would then go on a 12-2 run highlighted by the post duo of Benson and Kassan to take a 25-9 lead. They would ultimately take a 28-11 lead into halftime. Benson led the charge with 10 points and 6 rebounds at the break.

The Rockets came out aggressive to start the second half determined to put this one away early. A 7-0 run to start the third with a Carlee Bedford three sandwiched around two inside buckets by Benson gave the Rockets their biggest lead of the night at 35-11. They maintained the 20+ point lead and entered the fourth leading 39-16.
Both teams emptied their benches in the fourth. Rockets senior Kaleigh Lilly had a big fourth quarter with 8 points almost outscoring the Comets by herself. The Rockets took the Senior Night win 51-26 to improve to 16-4 on the season.
