Highland hornets hitting on all cylinders in their big 49-7 win over North Olmsted.

MEDINA, OH- Highland Hornets Stadium was the site of a 2nd round OHSAA football playoff matchup between the North Olmsted Eagles and host Highland Hornets who came in at 11-0.


Highland got off to a good start in the first quarter as Lukas Stiles scored 2 early touchdowns from 12 and 1 yards out respectively putting the Hornets up 14-0.


Noah Robinson continued the Hornets 1st half domination with a 32 yard touchdown run putting Highland up 21-0.


North Olmsted was able to get on the board with just over a minute to go in the first half on a 23 yard touchdown to Collin Willard from Xavier Balson. That made it a 21-7 lead for Highland at the half.



The second half was more of Lucas Stiles who put together two big runs in a row to put Highland in scoring range. He then scored on a 10 yard run to make it 28-7 Hornets.

After an Eagle punt it was Stiles once again scoring this time from 44 yards out putting the game away at 35-7. It was Stiles 4th touchdown of the game.


Highland put up one more touchdown in the third with their offense clicking on all levels making it 42-7 after the Andrew Lurtz to Matt Ciryak with a 30 yard touchdown strike. Noah Robinson also scored a late 3 yard touchdown in the 4th to push the score to the final margin of 49-7.

Lucas Stiles: 18 Carries, 174 yards, 4 touchdowns, 5 tackles, 1 pass break up.

Andrew Lurtz: 15/18, 145 yards, 1 passing touchdown, 5 Carries for 47 yards


North Olmsted Eagles

Xavier Balson: 15/26, 174, 1 passing touchdown.

Collin Willard: 6 catches, 107 yards and 1 receiving touchdown
