Hawken Hawks: 2023 Football Season Preview

Hawken head coach Mark Iammarino impressed in his first season as Hawks head coach. He guided them to an 8-2 record, delivering a co-CVC title and a Region 9 playoff berth. He and his team are making the jump from CVC Valley Division to the Chagrin Division for the 2023 season. Before Hawken makes their run to repeat as CVC champs they begin their season at home. The Hawks face the Rhodes Rams and Trinity Trojans in Weeks 1 & 2 respectively. They will travel to take on cross town rival, the Lancers of Gilmour Academy. Hawken hosts Edgewood in Week 4. Hawken will soar over to Conneaut and face the Spartans for a Week 5 matchup. The Hawks open up conference play in Week 6 at home against West Geauga before travelling to Rocky River for a meeting with the Lutheran West Longhorns. The Orange Lions will come roaring into Walton Stadium for a Week 8 contest against Hawken. Coach Iammarino will get to face a team he coached for 26 years, the Chagrin Falls Tigers, in Week 9. Hawken will close out the regular season at home as the Perry Pirates come to face the Hawks to conclude the 2023 regular season.
