Lynchburg Hillcats (Low A)


Lynchburg had a nice week at home taking 4 of 6 from Carolina which moved them into first place at 28-22 in the Carolina League North Division. Their team average stayed at .247 good for 3rd in the league. The last place HR hitting Hillcats got a boost in the power department with the arrival of Junior Sanquintin who returned from injury. Their 3.75 team ERA ranks 3rd and they are 2nd in the league in strikeouts with 559 in 430 innings. Rodney Boone, Trey Benton and Davis Sharpe were promoted to High A Lake County.

Lake County Captains (High A)


The Captains split the 6-game series with West Michigan at home. They sit at 26-24 in 3rd place in the Midwest League East Division. They continue to be last in team average at .213 and are also last with 192 runs scored. Their 3.86 team ERA is 4th in the league and 177 earned runs allowed is tied for 2nd. Gavin Williams was promoted to AA Akron.

Akron Rubberducks (AA)


The Ducks struggled at home against Richmond dropping 4 of 6. They dropped to 2nd place in the Eastern League Southwest Division at 29-22. Akron dropped to 11th in team average at .228 and 8th in runs scored with 230. They are also 11th in HR's with only 36. The pitching continues to be solid. Their ERA of 3.97 ranks 4th and they continue to lead the league in strikeouts with 592, 76 more than 2nd ranked Erie.

Highlight of the Week: Tanner Burns returns after being out a month with a sore shoulder to throw 2 perfect innings with 2 strikeouts on 6/4 vs Richmond.



Columbus Clippers (AAA)


The Clippers went 4-1 last week hosting Toledo. They are 33-21 in 2nd place in the International League West Division. They climbed up two spots to 11th in team average at .248 and they are 6th in HR's with 70. Their pitching staff ranks 3rd in ERA at 4.01 and 5th with a 1.36 WHIP.
